Meet Keith from Coding Blind Tech
A blind software engineer sharing practical development, accessibility, and keyboard-driven workflow lessons.
I'm Keith, a blind software engineer, and I run Coding Blind Tech.
I became blind in 2009 from a vehicle accident that left me blind in both eyes. From there I learned how to be blind and just kept going.
I've spent several years building software, mostly on the backend. I work across languages like Python, TypeScript, Go, Node.js, and C++, along with a lot of cloud, containers, and DevOps. These days I lead a development team as a Director of Development.
Accessibility has been part of my work for a long time. Early in my career I audited websites and documents for Section 508 and WCAG compliance, making sure they were accessible and screen reader friendly. I do my own work with a screen reader and the keyboard, and that is a big part of what I share here.
Coding Blind Tech is where I pass that along. Simple, practical tech content from a different perspective, useful whether or not you use a screen reader.
